'Last Radio Playing (Version 1)'
This series of still life paintings by Chris Gollon take their title from a lyric in Bob Dylan's song 'Shootin' Star'. They are all experiments in colour as Gollon re-looks at Johannes Itten's great book 'The Art of Colour' and at the various chromatic scales and the seven colour contrasts such as complementary, simultaneous and saturation.
Born in London in 1953, Chris Gollon is a very established and highly-acclaimed name in European painting, with many solo museum shows and museum acquisitions, including the British Museum.
Original painting on paper by Chris Gollon. Framed to museum standard. IAP Fine Art is a friendly gallery (with galleries in both London & Hereford) and we also are part of the Arts Council of England's OWN Art Scheme, allowing you to purchase (or part-purchase) any work of art up to £2,500 on interest-free credit over 10 months.
