Reclining Nude With Red Apples (First Version)
London-born British artist Chris Gollon (1953 - 2017) was a very established and critically-acclaimed name in European painting, with many solo museum shows and museum acquisitions, including the British Museum. Chris Gollon was a master of black, and often used it poetically like a Matisse blue, which art historian Tamsin Pickeral writes very well on in her Gollon biography 'Humanity in Art' (Hyde & Hughes, 2010), endorsed by Bill Bryson OBE.
For further details on the recent books published on his work, public commissions, press coverage, visit the artist's page on our website. IAP Fine Art has exclusivity on Gollon's work and manage his artistic estate. We help collectors begin or expand their collections, and we also work with museums and cathedrals with regard to exhibitions and acquisitions.
A TV documentary is currently being made on Chris Gollon's life and work, which we are advising on, since we represented Chris for 25 years, and we hold the artist's estate on behalf of his family.
