Genshogo
Tammeijiro Genshogo, No 69 from the series `The Hundred and Eight Heroes of the popular Suikoden, one by one` (Tsukoku Suikoden goketsu hyaku hachi-nin no hitori). Published by Kaga-ya Kichiyemon between 1827 & 1830; censor kiwame Tammeijiro Genshogo, half naked and tatooed, grappling with an armoured foeman under water. Ref: Robinson S2 69. Robinson states `The publication of this series was the turning point of Kuniyoshi`s career`. A fine impression with good colours, slightly faded, lightly trimmed and a little dirty with 5 bindholes down the right side.
