'Trouble (II)'
From a series of small paintings in acrylic on acid-free Indian Khadi paper, which Chris Gollon painted in early 2016. As the artist notes: "This new set of small heads is painted on Khadi paper. From the first, I remembered how beautiful the texture is. Less is more is the motive here. One must let the paper do most of the work. The result makes them very alive."
We have curated a Viewing Room on our gallery website, dedicated to Chris Gollon's works on Khadi paper, some already in private or museum collections, some available from the artist's estate, which we hold. Please feel free to ask for further details.
