A Beautiful Truth - an abstract Winter landscape with swallows
A large 48 x 36 x 1.5 inches original oil painting on canvas of a winter landscape. It is semi-abstract in style and painted in hues of violet, pink, orange and yellow. Two swallows fly over a a shimmering, misty lake. The refection of the rising sun can be seen through the trees and in the water. It was inspired by a walk I took in December near Ardingly in Sussex. I was trying to show that, although not as colourful as the other seasons, winter can be very beautiful and that nature and the seasons go relentlessly though their cycles regardless of what humans are doing and that a good way to stay sane is simply to walk and observe this. Nature is endlessly fascinating.
