This is a small reproduction (1:28) of one of Maurizio Cattelan’s most discussed sculptures, standing in Milan’s Piazza Affari in front of the Italian stock exchange building. The sculpture features a concrete male hand supported by a concrete pedestal, stamped on the underside. All of the fingers of the hand are cut off, except for the middle one, assuming a sarcastic stance. The sculpture is sold in a custom made wooden box, and is available in both raw concrete from an edition of 1,800 and painted white from an edition of just 200. Note, each sculpture in this series may have minor imperfections which are inherent to the material.Note, each sculpture in this series may have minor imperfections which are inherent to the material.
