I graduated from Wolverhampton University in 1993 with a B.A.(Hons) in Fine Art (2.1). Since then I have continue to develop and evolve as an artist.
I began working as a letter cutter and artist at a monumental masons’ in West Sussex in 2002. Stone carving demands accuracy, precision and fine-tuned technical skills which, with patience and determination, I finally mastered. I quickly developed a passion for this ancient craft and realised the importance of designing, drawing and cutting relief sculpture.
Stone offers an endless variety of textures and colours. Using only reclaimed stone, I enjoy the satisfaction of using the Earth’s most natural and durable material to express ideas and to create objects – whether they’re purely decorative or have a functional purpose.
