Arty-Fact: “My work is very textured and usually very colourful, but with this piece I've kept an almost white background, and incorporated the detail through the texture.
“I love rough, cracked broken textures that are not traditionally considered beautiful. It's abrasive yet slightly sparkly, and adorned with 186 (I think, I only counted once, because I knew it would be different every single time) colourful and intricately patterned butterflies all flying together.
“The butterflies signify change. This piece represents everyone changing and growing together in a world that is beautiful, but not without its hardships.” ~ Khalsom
