Maggi Hambling drawing for sale. This charcoal drawing comes to us from a private collection, and it is unseen since Maggi Hambling's major solo exhibition 'MAGGI HAMBLING: Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours' at Serpentine Gallery, London, 1987. It featured in the exhibition catalogue and is a study for a large painting in the same exhibition entitled 'Pasiphae & The Bull'. It is featured in the Serpentine exhibition catalogue 'MAGGI HAMBLING' with texts by Marina Warner, Peter Fuller, Richard Cork and other leading art historians and art critics. (ISBN 1 870814 00 2). We have created a Viewing Room specifically for this work on our website, giving further insights.

Maggi Hambling (born Suffolk, 1945) was First Artist in Residence at the National Gallery, London, and has works in many major public collections including TATE, National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, British Museum and many others. More details on our website.
