Simeon Stafford - By the Sea is an original painting by the Northern School artist depicting a harbour scene in an abstract style. We can see all manner of boats in different positions and in different colours carefully situated in the painting. The curve of the Harbour wall flows through the top third of the Image and is bustling with activity from ships, cyclists, and cars. This painting is quite influenced by the great cornish painter Alfred Wallis who painted in a similar style.
