MARAVILLAS CON VARIACIONES ACRÓSTICAS EN EL JARDÍN DE MIRÓ XIV
Lithograph on Gvarro paper plate signed. Edited by Polígrafa, Barcelona, in 1975. Referenced in Patrick Cramer's catalogues raisonnés "Joan Miró. The Illustrated Books" (Cramer, Geneva, 1989) and "Joan Miró. The Lithographer V, 1972-1975" (Maeght, Paris, 1992).
"Maravillas con variaciones acrósticas en el jardín de Miró" is a set of 20 lithographs plate signed and limited to an edition of 1500, edited by Polígrafa, one of the most famous printers worldwide. This print belongs to a special edition in which the artist collaborated with the Spanish famous poet Rafael Alberti. The writer created the poems and Miró illustrated them in his own unique style. The verses written by Rafael Alberti and illustrated on this series by Miró are, as a matter of fact, inspired by the life of the painter and his partner Pilar. The poems recreate an imaginary garden full of evocative flowers such as roses or lavenders where butterflies, crickets and ants live.
