Rotella's decollages have many readings. We could think of destruction and the images contaminated by it, but in the end, when we can still see those beautiful images there, behind the torns and scratches, there's a magical sense of remain. The looks, the faces, the gestures, we can still feel them even it they are not completely there anymore.

"Girl Happy" tells the story of a rock and roll singer and his band, hired by a Chicago gangster to keep an eye on his daughter during Spring Break in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The film was recorded in 1964, in the middle of the Beatlemania, and solo artists were in certain disadvantage. Three characters were added to the movie as band members so Elvis wasn't that alone. This fact, also influenced on the movie soundtrack, with many tracks speed up in order to give them a fresh look and turn them more youthful.
