As seen in the documentary ‘CHRIS GOLLON: Life in Paint’ (85 mins) premiered autumn 2024 in London, Chris Gollon used music in various ways to innovate his imagery. A great song lyric would lead to an idea, or a new train of thought, and to a new image. The film explores his use of music to innovate painting, and also how his paintings influenced musicians.
The title of this painting comes from a line in Neil Young's song 'Mansion on the Hill'.
