Arty-Fact: "Cette œuvre a commencé le Mardi saint, un moment, dans la tradition catholique, où la vérité confronte l’hypocrisie. Ce même jour, j’ai reçu l’appel d’une jeune personne que j’avais rencontrée plusieurs années auparavant. Elle était en détresse, trahie dans son environnement professionnel par ceux qui auraient dû la protéger.

"Ce moment a fait écho à l’histoire de Judas. Dessiner est devenu nécessaire pour capturer cette vérité.

"L’œuvre a été imprimée le Mercredi saint, jour de rupture et de trahison. En passant du dessin à l’impression, je transforme la trahison en résistance, fixant le rouge comme marque de fidélité.

"Cette Semaine sainte agit comme un miroir tendu à notre époque. Dans un monde gouverné par les impératifs du capitalisme, nous risquons de nous vendre au détriment de nos valeurs fondamentales et familiales. Face à ce cynisme, l’œuvre rappelle l’essence des Dix Commandements et le précepte universel de ne pas nuire.

"Ces principes se retrouvent à travers les traditions : la justice de la Tsedaka dans le judaïsme, l’engagement et la droiture des traditions chrétiennes, la solidarité de la Zakat dans l’islam, l’ordre du Dharma en Inde, et l’équilibre présent dans la pensée confucéenne et taoïste.

"Conscience, paix, justice, foi et responsabilité demeurent nos fondations. La sécurité commence par soi et s’étend aux autres. Elle commence par s’aimer suffisamment pour aimer les autres, et se prolonge par l’action, là où l’éthique et la responsabilité se rencontrent.

"Ces dix estampes rappellent que notre seul véritable pouvoir est de protéger ensemble la dignité humaine.

"This work began on Holy Tuesday, a moment in the Catholic tradition when truth confronts hypocrisy. That same day, I received a call from a young person I had met years earlier. She was in distress, betrayed in her professional environment by those who should have protected her.

"That moment echoed the story of Judas. Drawing became necessary to capture that truth.

The work was printed on Holy Wednesday, the day of rupture and betrayal. By moving from drawing to print, I turn betrayal into resistance, fixing the red as a mark of fidelity.

"This Holy Week acts as a mirror held up to our era. In a world governed by the imperatives of capitalism, we risk selling ourselves at the expense of our foundational and family values. Facing this cynicism, the work recalls the essence of the Ten Commandments and the universal precept to do no harm.

"These principles are shared across traditions: the justice of Tsedaka in Judaism, the commitment and righteousness of Christian traditions, the solidarity of Zakat in Islam, the order of Dharma in India, and the balance found in Confucian and Taoist thought.

"Conscience, peace, justice, faith, and responsibility remain our foundations. Safety begins with the self and extends to others. It begins with loving oneself well to love others well, and continues through action, where ethics and responsibility meet.

"These ten prints stand as a reminder that our only true power is to protect human dignity, together.
