Victor Pasmore
Apollo ll - Screenprint, edition of 75.
Initially a competent figurative painter, Victor Pasmore transitioned to a radical abstraction around 1948. Following this shift, he went on to become one of the most important British Abstract artists of the 20th century, drawing inspiration from the use of nature and dynamic harmony in the work of Paul Klee and Piet Mondrian.
This 1985 work shows Pasmore's abstraction in its fully-realised, now iconic form.
